Desiderio N°1 gallery is pleased to announce the opening of “ Lifting Bizarre”, with collaboration of artists who depict their personal interpretation of Bizarre as:

A form of resistance

Identity alternatives

Utopias into pieces

Possessions that give us symbolic identities don’t deprive us of our freedom and authenticity. While social conventions tend to give human society morphologic consistency through proportionate doses of reality, the bizarre’s impact derives from its excessiveness rather than realism.

The bizarre leads us to refuse the false satisfaction that the symbolic order offers.

“Lifting Bizarre” is an exhibition that focuses on ideas for possibilities of Bizarre and its impact on artistic approach and practice on a personal and social level.

On the 2nd of September, you will be welcomed with exclusive drinks from Desiderio N°1 Prosecco in a cheerful, buoyant atmosphere from 5 p.m.
